Jonas Bohatsch

Jonas Bohatsch is a visual and new media artist based in Vienna, Austria. His artistic work bridges the fields of generative art, interactive media, and digital aesthetics. He explores algorithmically driven creation processes, focusing on how computation and technology shape artistic expression. Central themes in his practice include generative algorithms, playful user interaction and critical reflections on the digital transformation of traditional artistic practices. His works have been exhibited internationally, including at the FILE Festival in São Paulo, EMAF in Osnabrück, and A Maze festival in Berlin and Johannesburg, among others.

At the University of Applied Arts Vienna Jonas leads the Coding Lab and teaches courses on generative and interactive art.

Martin Kusch

Martin Kusch is an interdisciplinary artist, artistic researcher, and associate professor at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. His work explores how digital technologies shape perception, embodiment, and cognitive processes—primarily through media-based, interactive, and performative installations.
He studied art history, philosophy, and painting in Berlin, and media arts in Vienna with Peter Weibel. He is co-founder and artistic co-director of the performance group kondition pluriel, and from 2014 to 2024, he directed the university’s Fulldome XR Lab, a pioneering platform for artistic research in immersive media and responsive environments. He is currently affiliated with the university’s Coding Lab, where he continues to develop experimental projects at the intersection of digital art and performance.
His artistic work has been presented internationally, among others at ZKM (Karlsruhe), EMPAC (Troy), SAT (Montreal), ICA (London), Transmediale (Berlin), the Istanbul Biennale, and Podfest (Rio de Janeiro). Exhibited works include Flood (Bad Ischl), Swarming Lounge (Eindhoven, Aveiro), At Play (Kunstraum Niederösterreich, Vienna), Future Room (Vienna, Singapore), entre-deux (Yokohama), Diver (Havana), and schème II (São Paulo). His projects have also been featured at festivals such as FIND, Dance Umbrella, ISEA, CYNETart, Mois Multi, Fulldome UK, Steirischer Herbst, and Ars Electronica.

Andrea Klaura

jackie (IRL: Andrea Ida Malkah Klaura) has degrees in technical computer science from the TU Wien, in science and technology studies from the Univ. of Vienna and in IT security from the FH Technikum Wien. Besides her current work as a software engineer and her former engagements in IT operations, her main interest is bringing people and technologies together to create safer, more participatory and sustainable spaces for the adoption and creation of tools and techniques and the sharing of knowledge, with the aim to contribute to a good life for everyone. #morefunnotprofit

Ulrich Formann

Ulrich, born in Vienna, began programming at the age of 11 and pursued his interest through a "Multimedia" high school diploma at the School for higher Graphic Education and Research (die Graphische). His project "kameleon.ws" received a nomination at the Ars Electronica Festival 2016 and won the "netidee" special prize.

During this time, he pondered the impacts of the digital economy, startup culture, surveillance, social media, and democracy's decline. Instead of an IT career, he chose to study Digital Art at the University of Applied Arts Vienna (die Angewandte). He furthered his education with a year-long exchange at India's "Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design and Technology," focusing on Experimental Media Art. His Diploma Project earned him the Austrian state award for the best diploma in 2022.

Ferdinand Doblhammer

Ferdinand Doblhammer, born 1996, works in the fields of media art, music and design. His works deal with data security in an environment of constantly growing virtualization, the thereby provoked borders and border crossings. He tries to point out problems regarding media policies in our nowadays world through the usage of machine learning, video and installation. He is co-founder of the investigative media art collective „Total View“ and contributed to various exhibitions for example at Kahan Art Space, Gallerie Krinzinger, Criatech Festival Aveiro (PT), at Parallel Vienna 2020, the series Ok&Jetzt at the 12-14contemporary Gallery Vienna and at the Medienwerkstatt Wien.

Zita Kayser

Trained as a carpenter and graphic designer, she has been studying in the Digital Art class at the Angewandte since 2022. In her practice she works with electronics and coding as well as video. Her favorite emoji is U+1F409 🐉
